Rules and Regulations

 

1. National High School Federation rules will be followed with the few exceptions listed below.
2. The gym site will open forty (40) minutes prior to the start of each game each day.
3. All players must wear uniform for entrance into each site. No uniform… admission will be charged at $5.00 per day.
4. Each player will be allowed a total of six (6) fouls before being disqualified.
5. All games will be played in two (2) sixteen (16) minute halves.
6. There will be a three (3) minute rest period between halves.
7. Teams will be allowed to call three full (3) time-outs and one (1) twenty second time-out during the regulation game.
8. There will be a minimum seven (7) minute warm-up period between games.
9. Two (2) certified officials per game.
10. Any vulgar language or misconduct toward officials and tournament staff will be subject to disqualification from tournament.
11. No game will begin before the time listed on the official game schedule.
12. Players will be allowed to play for one team only. Once a player plays in a game for one team, she will no longer be eligible to participate for any other team in the tournament. Any violations of this rule discovered will result in game forfeitures.
13. In pool play, the home team is the second team listed in each pair, will wear light colored jerseys, and sit left side of the scorekeeper facing the court.
14. In Final Four Bracket Play, the home team is the bottom team in the bracket, will wear light colored jerseys and sit to the left of the scorekeeper facing the court.
15. Final pool standings will be determined by Win/Loss records against teams within pool.
16. Tie-breaking procedures for pool play placing will be determined in the following manner:
A. Two (2) tied teams will be determined by head to head competition.
B. Three (3) tied teams will be determined by the point differential in all pool games with a maximum of a twenty (20) point differential in any one game.
17. All players must wear the NCAA Educational wrist bands after the educational session is conducted for their times. The color is red, and must be worn on the left hand for identification for college coaches until the conclusion of the tournament on Sunday.
